The 2026 NMHEAR Conference will be held March 5 & 6 at the Albuquerque Marriott in Albuquerque, NM. Registration will open in the Fall of 2025.
Keynote Address: Dr. Gwen Perea Warniment
Dr. Gwen Perea Warniment will be the keynote speaker for 2026. Dr. Perea Warniment is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Los Alamos National Labs (LANL) Foundation. She previously served as Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment at the New Mexico Public Education Department. Dr. Perea Warinment holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and Bilingual STEM Education from New Mexico State University, a Master's degree in Education and Reading from New Mexico Highlands University, and Bachelor's degrees in English and Spanish from the University of New Mexico.
