CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The 29th annual NMHEAR Conference, scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will provide an opportunity for faculty, staff, and administrators to share ideas about assessment and retention initiatives that promote student success.

We encourage presentations that share institutional strategies for increasing student persistence and completion outcomes, particularly those aligned with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) criteria for continuous improvement. Sessions might include examples of how institutions are reframing student success metrics, supporting underserved populations, or showcasing faculty-driven innovations that strengthen classroom engagement while demonstrating measurable outcomes.

Proposals that emphasize the power of data—whether through comprehensive dashboards, longitudinal studies, predictive analytics, or cross-campus collaborations—are particularly welcome, as they provide insight into how evidence informs practice and drives institutional decision-making and advocacy.  Above all, we seek contributions that not only celebrate successes but also foster dialogue for a shared path forward for New Mexico higher education.

If you would like to present at the 29th New Mexico Higher Education Assessment and Retention Conference (NMHEAR), please submit this proposal form by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2025.

After submitting your proposal, you will receive a confirmation email. (The email may go to your junk box depending on your institution/organizations.) You will receive an email from the conference director in early December regarding the status of your proposal. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact Carley Casey at carleycc@nmsu.edu.

Please note that all conference presenters must register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee.
